How to Add or Edit Menu Items

 

This video shows you how to add new products to your app menu through the admin panel. On the left, I have the Merchant Portal and on the right, I am displaying the app that this Merchant Portal is editing. 

* Please note that if your app is integrated with your POS system, there are extra steps that need to be taken for the new products to be connected to your POS system.

Guide to Adding or Editing Items in Your App

1. Navigate to the Items Tab 0:00

• Open the app menu.

• Click on the 'Items' tab.

• Select 'Add New Item' in the top right corner.

2. Upload an Image 0:16

• Ensure the image is under 1 MB.

• Click to upload an image (e.g., waffle photo).

3. Fill in Item Details 0:28

• Enter the item name.

• Select the category (e.g., Breakfast).

• Specify available locations (e.g., Science World).

• Optionally, add a description.

4. Configure Special Instructions 0:46

• Enable special instructions for guests by toggling the option on.

5. Manage Item Visibility 1:07

• Use 'Disable Item' to hide the item from the app.

6. Set Position Ordering 1:22

• Determine the display order by assigning a position number (1 for first, 9 for ninth, etc.).

7. Adjust Width Percentage 1:36

• Choose between half or full width for how the item appears on the items page.

8. Manage Stock Levels 1:48

• Toggle 'Out of Stock' if the item is unavailable.

• Set up auto restock for future availability.

9. Add Variations 2:15

• Define variations (e.g., sizes, flavors).

• Set attribute names and values (e.g., size: regular).

• Assign position ordering for variations.

10. Specify Prep Time 3:00

• Add prep time that stacks with the ASAP order time.

11. Set Reward Tiers 3:38

• Assign reward tiers for the item.

12. Integrate with P.O.S. 4:05

• Input Integration UID from your P.O.S. system.

13. Disable Variations 4:15

• Use 'Disable Variation' to hide specific variations from the app.

14. Select Modifier Groups 4:23

• Choose available modifier groups for the item.

15. Apply Changes 4:38

• Click 'Apply Changes' to save the new item.

16. Refresh the App 4:45

 

• Hard shut down the app and reopen it to see the new item.
